I have decided to continue donating birthday gifts to Coastie Kids all year long, as long as we keep getting donations. This isn’t about the parents not being able to afford a gift for their child anymore, like during the Government shutdown. This is about giving a little something extra to a Coastie Kid who has had to say good bye to their best friend when they move, not sure if they will ever see them again. This gift is for a Coastie Kid whose mom or dad is out on patrol and missing their birthday. This is a gift for a Coastie Kid who doesn’t get to have grandparents and aunts/uncles come to their basketball games or band concerts or birthday parties. Coastie Kids go through so much and are so strong, an extra gift for their birthday is just what they deserve!! And what better gift to give, then a Coast Guard item to remind them what their parent is doing!
Your purchase of an autographed Onyx or Rosie book, coloring book or plush will be shipped to a Coastie Kid during the month s/he is celebrating his/her birthday. With this purchase, the child will receive an Onyx or Rosie item on his/her wish list.
You DO NOT have to pay for shipping, Ensign Benson Books LLC will cover shipping costs.
You provide the gift, we will take care of the rest! We can not continue this wonderful program for CG families without your generous donations!!

If you would like to request a gift for your child for their birthday, you can email at ensignbensonbooks@gmail.com or message us on Facebook anytime after the 24th of the previous birthday month (Example birthday June 12, then you can request starting May 24th). Right now we are sending gifts to children celebrating 1st-13th birthdays who are children of ACTIVE DUTY COAST GUARD members. We need the following information when you request gift: child’s name, age, birthday, address to send gift to and list of Onyx/Rosie items child already has (so s/he doesn’t get a duplicate), and unit you are attached to. We will add child to the list and send gift when they are available. We can NOT guarantee a gift. It all depends on donations.
